ORS water-resource role
- Lakes assist in flood mitigation.
- The lake system forms part of the Sg. Selangor water supply scheme.
- The lakes have attractive blue and green hues and serve as a migratory birds transit point.
- 34 water treatment plants in Selangor supply 4,667 million litres/day to 10 million consumers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
- Nearly 60% of the water comes from the Sg. Selangor water supply scheme.
Water for Peace Visitors Centre
The Visitors Centre is envisaged as an educational platform for the local community and the public to learn about biodiversity, water for humanity and sources of river pollution.
